Review procedure

Treść (rozbudowana)
1. Submitting a text for publication implies that the author agrees to undergo the review procedure adopted by TUL Press. Texts sent to the editorial office are subjected to preliminary assessment and qualification in order to determine whether they comply with TUL Press’ profile and editorial recommendations.
2. TUL Press unconditionally does not accept finished reviews; it manages the reviewing procedure in its entirety, maintaining the secrecy of its results to the end.

3. Published books are subjected to editorial review prepared by independent researchers – specialists in a given discipline and subject area; books are reviewed by independent reviewers, i.e. researchers who have a different affiliation from the author/scientific editor of the reviewed work (including the author of a chapter in a collective work).
4. The authors/scientific editors have the right to propose two reviewers whose selection is approved by TUL Press and the Principal of the publication (the head of the department of Lodz University of Technology and the Dean).
0
5. TUL Press has a Database of Reviewers from various disciplines. If the recommended reviewers do not meet the requirements, TUL Press may refer the manuscript to a specialist selected from the Database. The second reviewer should come from a list compiled by the author of the publication and attached to the application for publication. The list of reviewers should include not less than 4 specialists (scientific workers with at least postdoctoral degree not employed at TUL).

6. Depending on the type of publication, two reviews (scientific scoring monographs, handbooks) or one review (scripts, collections of papers, scientific articles in post-conference materials) are required.
7. Reviewers receive a remuneration. Its amount, determined by the author or principal of the publication, is part of the publication calculation. TUL Press is responsible for the documentation necessary for the payment of remunerations (contract for work, bill, tax statement).
0
8. Contracts for reviewers are prepared by TUL Press – the documentation concerning the remuneration for reviewing is sent to reviewers after the acceptance of the publishing proposal. From the date of signing of the agreement by both parties, the reviewing process begins which on principle lasts no longer than 30 working days.
