How to edit text
Technical requirements:
Width of column composition 12,6 cm
Height of column composition 20,5 cm (with the page number)
Paper – page setup width 16,5 cm / height 23,5 cm (Letter B5)
Margins Upper 2,2 cm / Bottom 2 cm / Left 1,9 cm / Right 1,9 cm
Layout Headline 0 cm / Footnote 1,25 cm
Typography

The text should be written in 11 pt. font (for Times New Roman).

Table of contents – from page 3 (if there is a dedication and the following blank page, then from page 5).

The first chapter should start from the odd column. Each subsequent one from the current one.

Titles centred or from the left edge of the text (font size for Times New Roman type) – consistently used throughout the work:

  • first degree – in 16 pt. bold text,
  • second degree – in 14 pt. bold text,
  • third degree – in 12 pt. bold text,
  • fourth degree – in 11 pt. italic bold text.

Literature should be written in 10 pt. font. Numbering – in square brackets [1] or without brackets. Names can be highlighted – bold.

In tables font size10 pt., table number and title put above the table – 11 pt

Figure captions (centred or from the left Edge of the figure) – 10 pt.

Supplements In monographs – the English summary at the end of the book. Optionally there can be also a summary in Polish and professional characterisation of the authors.
Programs in which to typeset the text:

Microsoft Word, InDesign, LaTeX

Vector drawings, colour photos and covers:

(CMYK colours, minimum resolution – 300 dpi, Panthon)

Black and white ilustrations – min. resolution 150 dpi

Photos and bitmaps: PSD, JPG formats or PNG for internet
Cover preparation
• All files for printing must be generated to PDF in printing quality (CMYK, 300 dpi, gross format)
• The printing bleeds for booklet binding must have 5 mm bleeds each, while for hardcover binding they must have 15 mm bleeds each
• Other design elements at binding (e.g., liners, pastedowns, bindings, wrappers) must each have 3 mm of printing bleeds
