  • The author's economic rights (as well as moral rights) arise from the moment the work is established, i.e. it is externalised in such a way that it is perceived by persons other than the author. The work may be established in any form, it does not need to be fixed on a material medium.
  • The author has the exclusive right to use and dispose of the work in all fields of exploitation and to remuneration for the use of the work.
  • The copyright monopoly covers every form of exploitation of the work, also in fields that are not mentioned in the Act. The content of the author’s economic right also covers fields of exploitation emerging with the progress of technology which were not known at the time the Act was promulgated.
  • As a rule, author’s economic rights arise in favour of the author (exceptions e.g. employee creativity).
  • Only author’s economic rights may be traded.
